Grievance against line manager:
Grievance brought by part time member of staff against her line manager regarding his harassing and bullying behaviour which she felt was discriminatory. The staff member was on long term sick leave and threatened to bring a formal grievance against her employer.
The issues included:
- exploring each party’s behaviour and its impact on the other party
- unravelling what the parties’ respective needs and interests were
- helping them reach a practical resolution within organisational constraints.
- Agreeing a code of acceptable (and unacceptable) behaviour going forward
