Why Mediation?
Mediation is a cost effective way of resolving disputes. It saves time and money and can restore relationships and productivity.
The success rate of mediation is around 80%, depending on the skills of the mediator and the parties' attitude on the day. Most users of mediation feel it is beneficial, either settling their dispute or clarifying issues. CEDR estimates that commercial mediation saves UK business in excess of £1billion a year in wasted management time, productivity and legal fees.
Mediation is quick to arrange and flexible. Parties entering into mediation remain in control of the outcome. They can generate solutions which a court of law would not consider, such as creating new business opportunities. It is not about rights and wrongs but about creative conflict management.
